Now we know: Illinois Football Is Back!

Illini fans, Iowa paid you a huge compliment on Saturday by beating you. You are no longer the hunter; you are the hunted. Yes, Illinois football has arrived. Iowa fans stormed the field after this one, and they had every right to do so. Their defense just held one of the nation’s most potent offenses in check. OK, so this loss officially knocks Ron Zook’s club out of the national title picture, but I still expect to see the Blue and Orange playing on New Year’s Day.
